Seem to remember we used to have threads for the 'across the pond' sports and even though I'm British, I was born in Chicago and follow

Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks and Cubs no love for the White Sox. . .so I thought now that NFL playoffs are upon us to start a joint thread.

and to kick off. . .thank Christ the Lions got crushed could not live with them being successful. . .Packers need to go too

The format changes regularly. It used to be the allstars of one conference playing the other. In the past it has been Canadian and North American stars playing the rest of the world stars.

Now all the stars selected voted on two players to be Captains - Chara, the Captain of the Stanley Cup winning Bruins and Alfredsson, Captain of the Ottawa Senators who are host team this year.

The two Captains have now selected from the pool of Stars - (voted on by fans) as to who would be on their teams. Chara made it pretty clear he would not be selecting any of the three Vancouver Canucks, so the Sedin sisters are playing for what is now Team Chara.

I used to like the ASG when I was a kid - don't care for it now at all.

Sounds awesome. Our SU used to have late night sport events as well. The 2006 Ashes were good (obviously not the result) but they stayed open all night and everyone used it as an excuse to get hammered.

Can't believe the Uni even sanctioned it tbh given attendence for lectures was very low the following days and those that did turn up often came straight from the bar.
