Id play Coquelin as well ahead of Ramsey

I see this one working out in our favour because we will just be desperate to avoid defeat. For once, Sunderland will be more desperate to win. Usually they're able to sit back and watch our pass-pass-pass nonsense go nowhere and break. But this time they'll have to attack. We'll take a replay and do them at home, given that the 2nd leg of the CL is a waste of time.

Song and Ramsey have been awful for the best part of three months now. Coquelin deserves to start and hopefully he will cement his place. Put, and keep, Rosicky in the centre. At least he's performed decently in the last few domestic games.

We can't rotate much at the back with Koscielny and Mertesacker out for the season, but Miquel probably deserves a chance too. Vermaelen and Djourou are a shambles at the moment.

And Oxface and Gervinho have to start every game, otherwise we have no hope.

WUMger must do this (or something else to change it up), or we might as well just end the season now because the predictability will probably kill him before it kills any GW members.

Must win.

Or at least must not lose.

Otherwise it's 3 whole months of drab nothingness. Unless maybe having less games to play allows us to focus on exclusively on getting 4th. :coffee:

I think we have to. Maybe a good end to the season would be to win the FA Cup but finish 6th. So we fans see us get a trophy but the board have to contemplate the loss of Europe money. But I'm under the delusion that it will change their attitude to getting players in. Maybe they are simply too stupid to see the writing on the wall if nothing changes.

Wenger might as well chuck Park and Coquelin and some other squaddies in. I doubt Park will get a single appearance now - on the off chance he actually flukes a hat-trick, leaving Arsene looking like a full-on penis. Would be quite funny, actually. Hope it happens. Hope he combs in a 20 yarder and pulls out a Tardelli of a celebration.

Is this the least anticipated Arsenal live game in recent history? The only thing I'm looking forward to is seeing Gervinho and Oxmaid play together. It would have been nice to see them in a team with some form and confidence behind them.

Song, Ramsey, Arteta, Vermaelen have been just as worse. Gervinho is far too cautious and doesn't back his ability to beat players as he once did. He keeps passing backwards. Oxlade is not seeing much of the ball and when he does it's hit at him right in the touchline and he has nowhere to go. It's just a very average midfield that's the biggest problem. I know we concede a lot but it comes down to not being able to control the game. And control isn't just possession, it's about being able to threaten to worry the opposition.

Prime example: There was a situation in the first half where Oxlade was in a fair bit of space on the right, and Arteta found him with a 40 yard ball. Oxlade didn't have to move. It was inch-perfect. The problem? He was no longer free because the pass was looped up and took a long time to get to him which allowed defenders to close him down. The speed at which you do things is just as important as the accuracy. We are, at times, accurate. But we cannot be accurate and quick because we're simply not good enough.

Sunderland's attack - where they countered with Seb Larsson swinging a ball in from the right, some pub-teamer dragging it back first time for McClean to hit the side-netting....that is faster than any attack that we're able to put together.

Joker
18-02-2012, 06:11 PM
These players are not technically good enough to cope on a poor pitch and with the opposition closing down so aggressively. In the past we could, but the calibre of players we have these days is so low that we can't play a passing style anymore. We may as well resort to pub team tactics and hope for the best. If you had a Championship team out there today, they'd probably show more composure on the ball than many of our players.

Hopefully that ITV c.unt in the studio will die on live TV tonight. If we don't get an ideal result like the c.unt dying on live TV, then hopefully a couple of mackems will break their legs on that beach they are trying to pass off as a pitch. This lot are supposedly a PL outfit, that pitch is deliberate and they should be thrown out of all competitions until they get it sorted. That pitch brings the game into disrepute and that's against the rules. Also, Webb, after all his years, still has no clue about football. His failure to send Gardner off, or even book any of their lot is scandalous.

Arsenal, btw, are pure shit. Too few players of the required standard to be able to compete at any professional level. The worst thing is, the shit we're seeing is a direct result of the club's policies. So hopefully PHW and all his crew will die too and a fucking asteroid will land on that c.unt Kroenke.

Shite bench, shite subs, no tactics.

When Coq went off, he should have put song in defence and brought on Yossi. Squid shouldnt have even been on the bench, lack of defenders or not.

That was the chance to go all out for it. Park should have been there too, ready to have a go.

Insead weve got rosicky on who hasnt done anything of note for about 6 years, 1 sub wasted as hes so shit hes gone off injured after 40 mins and no one capable of winning this match.
