It was a bit of a shocker from Racing tbh being the home side. Playing at home, you'd expect them to attack a bit more

Just seen the goals

Mascherano

WTF has Rafa done to him?

Valdes did get a touch to that tbh so not as big a shocker as i thought it might be

Probably learnt their lesson from last season. Plus Hector Cuper isn't an idiot.

I bet all the players we hurried around to sign would have been content to stay at their clubs or move elsewhere if we didn't come in. If you don't make your interest known then you'll never have a chance, there's nothing to lose but for one reason or another we don't even seem to glance at this bracket of player.

Levante are top currently after beating Betis 0-1. Though you can't see them staying there, it's an amazing turnaround (looking at last season too) for a team who nearly went on strike against Real Madrid due to financial difficulties.

Also, Sporting 0-0 Barca currently.

Valdés, Dani Alves, Mascherano, Abidal, Xavi, Busquets, Thiago, Adriano, Pedro, David Villa, Messi.

How many goals are scored in the Premier League? I'd suggest it's fairly comparable. They have teams that concede eight...and so do we.

Real Madrid have lost this season whereas Sevilla and Levante have not. Citeh, Man Utd and Newcastle have not lost. Really, there's good and bad in both leagues.

lets be real they may not have lost but they will soon and the spanish league will soon become a two horse race with Real and barca smashing every team in their ways.

My point was that its easy to priase the striker because he scores hatricks but its not the best of leagues is it.

Sounds a lot like Man Utd and Man City to me, so far, anyway. The league is quite enjoyable, it's just people get too bogged down in only being interested in who wins La Liga, which has become out of only two teams. However that's a bit like the Premier League really, though Citeh might take Chelsea's place in that.

What do you say about the amount of goals conceded in the Premier League, are the attackers so exceptional that it's the only reason it happens? The fact Spanish teams regularly compete towards the end in the Europa League would suggest to me the quality of other teams are underrated.

My point wasn't somehow saying Levante and Sevilla are going to compete until the end but so far, they are performing well. Granted Sevilla are away to Barcelona next but most sides get hammered there. Us, included.

I agree your post is top notch, and there are some good sides in la liga i agree. like you say people only worry about top 2 even ACH said he don't care for the lower league teams in that league.

some of the defences in that league are terrible though so its not hard to score goals compared to other leagues.

You're not answering my question about teams in this league though. The Premier League has a similar amount of goals scored. Look at this season (we could look at last season too but given these are more recent I'll stick with them). Tottenham 1-5 Man City, Man Utd 8-2 Arsenal, Bolton 0-5 Man Utd, Fulham 6-0 QPR, QPR 0-4 Bolton, Bolton 1-5 Chelsea, Blackburn 0-4 Man City, Man City 4-1 Villa, Sunderland 4-0 Stoke.
