Real Madrid :bow:Higuain  brilliant team goal that was. Fucking love this player. Ronaldo  best player in the world and by some distance. If there was any dispute before and that itself was laughable then there surely isn't now unless you're an idiot. More on the supposedly best player in the world later but first on the match.Sevilla  what a performance by 9 men to hold out against 14 men on the pitch, the Spanish FA, UEFA and FIFA. The 2 red cards were a joke. Cesc has become a really despicable little cunt and needs to be taken out asap and wtf was Navarros red about? He got the ball. On to Iniesta. Disgusting dive. There was far more contact in the first challenge on him than there was for the actual challenge for the penalty but of course he wasn't in the area then I think so didn't go down. What a cunt he is. Cost his team the 3 points imo as he was through and went down for no reason for the penalty which brings us on to Messi.Fair play to him. A pressure penalty and he stood up to take it unlike 10 of his faggot team mates who were too busy provoking the Sevilla players, one of which went crying on the floor even though Kanoute the legend hardly touched him. Should have booted him in the face whilst Cesc was on the floor and Kanoute rise to become the first Arsenal legend to never actually play for the club would be complete. Alas it never happened. Stupid Spud. Anyway back to Messi. Never looked confident and he missed and that's what seperates the boys from the men. Ronaldo can handle the big moments. Messi can't.Let this mark the end of the best player debate if there ever was one cos its clear now. Arise Sir Ronaldo

Did Barca throw another hissy fit because they couldn't break down a defence? Real Madrids fault tbh. Oh wait they didn't play in this game. Barca keep creating the trouble and the opposition get punished. Happens countless times and the one common factor in all of these incidents? Its always against Barca. The refs are either too scared to take action against the real culprits or they are in on it.

They've got fuck all money. They're like Milan (not the money part), well when they were good and mostly around 30, plus their coach just lets them have beer and pizza as they like. And it shows - search Ballesteros (Levante).

I have no idea why they have gone mental though. They must have got the right Martinez whilst Wigan got Roberto.

DAVID SILVA insists he would snub Barcelona to stay at Manchester City.

The Spanish playmaker, 25, has been in sensational form as City have opened up a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

He was instrumental in the club's 6-1 demolition of neighbours Manchester United last weekend and is already favourite to be crowned Footballer of the Year.

His displays have alerted Barca boss Pep Guardiola.

Bu Silva said: "City believed in me and I'm very well here.

"Barcelona are definitely a great club but I hope to stay in Manchester for many years."

Couple of reasons

1 - They have the World Club Cup coming up next month so wont be in the country

2 - And more likely, cos they ordered the Spanish FA to let them play this game asap cos they are Barca and can do wtf they want

Pele is right. Messi has some way to go to be rated as highly as Thierry Henry, as far as I'm concerned, and then there's a chasm to Pele's status. Messi has age on his side, of course. But I watched extensive footage of Messi vs Henry recently and Henry is the better player. Maybe TH wasn't superior in tight dribbling, but in everything else go and dig out the footage for yourself and it's clear cut. But, Messi can still improve and probably will. Never really saw Cruff play but I do agree Maradona gets an awful lot of credit for what were relatively few highlights compared to the likes of Zidane or Platini. Zico was an astounding player too, every bit as talented as Maradona and the best free kick expert the world has ever seen. There's a tendency to rate players highly if they are still playing and Messi is thriving on this right now. There are other factors too, not least of which is his instinct to cheat at every opportunity. That should mark him down massively, but probably doesn't in most eyes.

I think it's more likely people will shy away from praising a player in that way if they are currently playing. I don't think Messi would have to anything more from now on to be rated as highly as Henry, rated higher in fact. Unfortunately for Henry he always had Ronaldinho shadowing over him, even in the seasons where he (Ronaldinho) didn't actually win anything.

Pele and Maradona transcend the game and that's probably why they will be rated higher than any other in the sport.
