Though I think it'll be a draw.

It'll go how it normally does.

We dominate the first half, miss a hat load of chances and you score the winner just after the restart.

Liverpool will surely be more adventurous than the two hoof specialists we have played so far. There should be more space for the attacking players.

0-0.

Marc Overmars

Keep things as they are for now, very satisfied with the defence at the moment.

Although Merts does annoy me at times because despite his height, I think he's fairly dreadful in the air. His saving grace is that because he's so fucking big his frame pretty much acts as a wall when he gets tight, making it difficult for him to be beaten.

Pretty much, you can't drop points in games you should really win and then still settle for a draw in the tougher games.

3 points after 3 games would be a sh*t total, that would be the equivalent of us losing 2 of the first 3 games.

You can't look at it as a one off result, you have to look at it in relation to your other result.

We need to win plain and simple, if we draw we'll have dropped 6 points in 3 games, that's basically 2 defeats.

Of course we need to win never said we did not and lets be honest pool are not that great so we have a chance but its whether we take it.

Pool won't sit back and defend like the other two teams we have played.

Suarez with the goal assisted by Sahin for good measure.

I'm going with a 1-0 loss with Sahin scoring for Pool. In fact, lets make it even better, he will pick up the ball on the 88th minute from inside his own half, beat our entire team and then slot it past the keeper. The ref will then blow for full time and Wenger will be complaining about some innocuous challenge that happened 2 years ago. But will still come out with the usual lack of sharpness, mental toughness bullshit.

Liverpool v Arsenal (13:30 BST)

Liverpool were good last weekend and deserved to beat Manchester City but their problem - and this is the same one from last year - is goals. If Luis Suarez doesn't score or Steven Gerrard chip in, who is going to score on a regular basis? How they perform in front of goal will be the main difference between finishing fourth or not.
Liverpool have some outstanding players. You can see that Joe Allen is a very good footballer. And Raheem Sterling has great ability and is quick, but the other thing is that tactically and defensively for the team he did really well, especially for one so young.
With Arsenal, everybody makes a big thing about Robin van Persie leaving but they have signed good players. They may not have scored in two games but Stoke away is a tough fixture and Sunderland are no pushover. The new players are slowly finding their feet. Both Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud have come from different leagues and they need time.
What is unusual and very encouraging for Arsene Wenger's team is that they haven't conceded yet.
Prediction: 1-1

He thinks we'll score

We've probably been the better team but you're leading so it doesn't really matter.

You're playing deep but bursting out on the counter and we're too blunt up front to have any hope of scoring.

Good Diaby .

If he has another half like that, it's safe to say Diaby Is Like A New Signing.

We had so many good opportunities on the break. Just the final ball missing again.

If Giroud scores his next sitter, he is forgiven. At the moment he's the new old Di Santo.

Dennis Bendtner
02-09-2012, 01:22 PM
Diaby's feet are sex. Worry about Mertesacker though. The sharper strikers can be too good for him. Walking a bit of a tightrope. And he's giving the ball away. Save him for the less technical strikers.

If Gervinho had got the ball in Podolski's position, he would have gone towards the byline and run it out of play.

Our counter-attacking play has been good, and almost a throwback to the good old days. Some of the passing has been shocking, and we need to take more care with our distribution from the back.
