I was quite excited when we got this tough group - thought it would be good to watch us against some better teams.

But now that we're actually good, I wish we had a piss easy group.

Usually an away draw is pretty good in the CL but, considering what's to come, a win here would be ozil.

on Olivier Giroud….
We have a few problems. Some with Ozil but the main one is Giroud, who has a knee problem. He will have a test tomorrow and hopefully he will be fit. But it will only be decided tomorrow.

on options up front if Giroud is ruled out…
I have not really thought about it that much but the obvious solution is Walcott. We’ll see.

on Per Mertesacker…
There is good news. Mertesacker will be available again after illness.

on Mesut Ozil…
He was ill and has some tight muscles after Saturday. But I think he will be OK. We are optimistic.

No umlauts on the official site is a poor effort.

LOL, we have lower billing than Celtic on Sky on Weds. They'll need a Sky Sports 5 to put us on next year if an English club wins it. Especially if it's us who wins. Sky cunts. Yes, this is a childish complaint but it's also necessary and isn't it brilliant to be able to be a real bitter, biased, fan again? I can go back to criticising the refs every match now - cunts.

Assuming the little Mozart is fit (nothing saying he will be out for a long time) isn't this exactly the sort of game he will want to play him in? Wenger's likely to want to go for it as it's possibly the most straight forward away game we're going to get and winning one of them is a big bonus. It's not the biggest team he has ever named but I'm not sure it can be helped.

Flamini will have to do.....in spite of how much he loves Marseille and that.

Oh right he did didn't he. I think Arsene said he will have a test tomorrow but that is a formality and I don't imagine that he is not okay if he says he is.

Although I think even with a lightly sprained ankle the time between Saturday and Wednesday isn't huge and he declared himself fit yesterday which I thought was slightly odd. If he is fit then I agree it will be the same team as Saturday apart from Merts coming in at CB with Sagna shifting the corporal to the bench.

The sooner Poldi and Vermaelen in particular recover the better. Until they do, it's very much heart in mouth anytime anything happens to a defender or Giroud.

I was hoping Sanogo would be more ready than he's looked. I still have high hopes for him but his first few minutes for us have hardly been encouraging.

Might see the token rotation. Monreal in for Gibbs. Would've been nice for Flamini to have a game off before he cripples himself. Not sure he's got a 45-50 game season in him after his injury problems. Might need to play a half fit Giroud too. Luckily Arteta and Podolski are supposed to be back in a week or two.

There were some good moments of passing - our quality of play can be quite good at times. We just haven't been able to sustain that into a spell of concerted pressure plus we've looked a bit dodgy at the back.
