this won't be easy, Cardiff are one of those teams that can turn it on and give us a real battle.

I think it'll be tight, we may have to rest some players. Ozil looks knackered for instance. Maybe give Walcott a start?

If we rest Ozil I'll have to go for a different scoreline than usual. So I'll go for

3-0

Ozil hattrick

Got a feeling Cardiff may frustrate us but hopefully we do 'em. Ideally we need 6 points from Cardiff and Hull before Everton, City and Chelsea come along.

this will be tough, they are coming off a good result against united. a draw wouldnt be the end of the world but i fancy if we score first we wont drop any points and ride out the game 2-0.

This one has a hard fought, well ground out victory written all over it. Holding the mancs to a draw will be their catalyst for a challenge, but in the end, us having quality all over the pitch will see us walking away with all the spoils.

0-2.

A little harsh on Wilshere perhaps(I won't be gutted if he actually plays though), but there will be other games to play.

Sagna------Merkyl-------KOS-------Gibbs

--------Ramsey----------Arteta-----------

Walcott----------Ozil--------------Cazorla

thats probably our strongest side although i would have wilshere instead of arteta because he is more exciting but perhaps for tougher away games arteta is the one. but its nice to have a debate and be able to rotate.

I think Wilshere has given away possession needlessly far too often this season and although it is often marginalised, Arteta really does know how to set the rhythm of passing in midfield.

On form, Wilshere is playing no worse than Ozil and would probably start ahead of him. Wilshere won't always find himself on the right of midfield though with opportunities to cut in on his left foot.

WUMger with team news:

on the team news for Cardiff…
No, nothing is different from Marseille really. We have no injuries. Of course we have some little concerns. People were a little bit rested like Arteta, but they are all available now.

on Gibbs...
Kieran Gibbs was sick but he has already recovered yesterday. He is now back in the squad.

on Podolski’s progress…
It will be three weeks until we could see him in the team.

on Oxlade-Chamberlain…
It will be the New Year for him.

2-1 Cardiff win. Their fans reckon this is their toughest game of the season so far (having already beaten Man City and drawn/outplayed Man Utd). Can see this being a frustrating game.

But on a brighter note it seems like they're going to give Ramsey a very welcome reception before and after the game. He's a hero over there although now they're a bit pissed off they only got £5m for him.

We don't need 2 Dm's against Cardiff. We should dominate the ball in midfield & play them off the pitch unlike the Mancs did. Why so many worried Gooners!! - Caulker & Jerome are the only players we've heard off & they came from shit mid tables teams like Stoke & Tottenham

Rather play Ramsey-Flamini , but Wenger prefers Ramsey-Arteta.

I'm glad that we aren't playing both Flamini and Arteta and I think Rosicky and Theo look good for the game against Hull.

The Emirates Gallactico
30-11-2013, 02:33 PM
Would have started Theo, Cardiff attack and so his pace would be useful on the break. Though I can understand why Wenger went with this team, on paper Cardiff away is a much harder prospect than Hull at home.

One of Ozil and Ramsey needs to rest on Wednesday though. They've both played in nearly every game so far.

A bit careless in the final third at times, but it's been a really impressive display so far against a 'get in their faces' opponent, a terrible ref and the baying crowd controlling him. Great goal and could have had two more.

Koscielny and Mertesacker are sublime. Gibbs so dominant down the left side. Arteta in control of the centre. Ramsey being Ramsey. Giroud strong again.

Ozil never seems to have the will to shoot when he has time and space.

Cardiff have already been given the runaround, so hopefully they tire even more. And hopefully the ref tries being fair.

Don't think Ozil and Santi have ever played that great on the pitch together. Either one of them has a good game, and the other doesn't. And the other who doesn't play well, plays like Arshavin...

It's partly because Cazorla's starting on the left IMO. He's ineffective there in this team

Great result today, whilst I believed we had the quality to win this scoreline is very impressive and I have heard we missed a few clear cut chances too.

Sounds like Sneezy and the Defence have been immense again today.

I love this team!

Taylor's cheating on the first day of the season was just too powerful when we played Villa. We should be ten points clear.

"Only Crystal Palace and Sunderland - aka, the bottom two clubs - have scored fewer Premier League goals than the nine in 12 games Spurs have managed so far this season. And three of those nine were dodgy penalties"
