Arsène Wenger will choose his squad from players who did not participate in the 2014 World Cup. Wojciech Szczesny, Kieran Gibbs, Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey, Nacho Monreal, Mathieu Flamini, Yaya Sanogo, Abou Diaby and Carl Jenkinson could all feature.

The season starts here :scarf:

Jenkinson has become the 4th choice CB by default, so may as well give him a game there..... and Bellerin can play right back.

The squad looks desperately thin right now but that is to be expected. If Ryo has a future with the club, I'll be damned!

Haven't been watching this but on Sanogo, the weirdest part is that he can't strike a ball properly. If someone is willing to pay you money to be a striker, you'd think having snap shots on goal is second nature to him advancing through the youth stages. Joel Campbell, for example, doesn't have many other qualities but he can leather it.

I thought proving us wrong with Song was already brilliant but if he does anything close to that with Sanogo then really, he should have a fre ride with unknowns.

However, Sanogo is awful, really bad at everything he should be good at.

Blink 1nce Quince 2wice
20-07-2014, 02:53 PM
I think he is just so not ready for this level of football that it is difficult to see any obvious talent at the moment coming to the fore. Perhaps his size has encouraged people otherwise that he is ready for this level, but sometimes that is not a good barometer.

I reserve judgement for now, but whatever his actual ability, it is clear he shouldn't really be close to the first team if we are being honest.
