Question: Does anyone who isnt fussed about british football and associated lifestyle choices wear Stone Island?

for example - is the idea of spunking 600 quid on a Stone Island Jacket something an italian would laugh at the english over?

I have a Stone Island fleece/sweater top but the brand is far too pricey for me.

Anyone who spends £600 on a jacket deserves to be laughed at.

so anyway - nobody knows right?
I mean the question was motivated by the idea that its pure marketting and fleeces (largely) the english. About as italian as le piat d'or is French sort of thing.

It's definitely marketing. Like Ralph Lauren as well, you can get that stuff reasonably priced in America but over here it's ridiculously priced just because of the status that little horse logo has.

The high street FTW.

Although I must admit I do like Superdry and Hollister gear, have quite a few of their items.

yeah its all inflated in the UK, i wear leather converse chucks and they are £50+ here, when i was in new york...$17/£11

Ok so what is the most you have spent on an item of clothing? (Not including suits)

does a technical hiking jacket count? 250 there. otherwise good shoes 200 quid. A nice pair of jeans is comfortably over a hundred.

£100 for a jacket once

I don't really buy many clothes. Odd pair of jeans now and then when I burn out my old ones. Use mostly old T's, and pick one up now and then.

Gotta do a Camden trawl at some point for a biker jacket.

I dont know if your average ageing casual appreciates the irony of a man who wants to cop a 'Fila' and/or 'BJ' shouting 'seaman, seaman' at the top of his lungs.

The most I've spent excluding work gear was on a Superdry shirt for 35 quid. They retail at 45 so I was chuffed when I found it for 20 % off.

Bicester Village.

There's my jacket as well but I didn't include it because they always set you back a bit anyway.

Having said that. Jeans are getting worse and worse in price. As are shoes.

Fucking £70 for a standard pair of shoes from Next. Fucking £140.00 for some boots I saw 'tother day.

I bought loads of stuff in America last year and I plan on doing the same next month when I go. This country is a rip off.
