Token effort from me this week on account of being ill.

Spuds won 4-0 against Bournemouth. Wheelchair went off injured I think. Dembele, Son, Kane and Janssen with the goal.

Sunderland 1-1 'Ammers, Ayew and Khazri fluking one in directly from a corner.

Palace 0-1 Leicester, Hoof.

Stoke 1-0 Hull, Arnautovic.

You know Mourinho will be foaming at the mouth at the prospect of halting Chelsea tomorrow.

I have a feeling Chelsea are going to do enough (even if they do have a setback tomorrow) but it is alarmingly close (as it was last year) to THE UNTHINKABLE.
I still think player for player we're better than them, there's certainly not much in it. But they're a team playing with confidence. We're a group of players who can't be arsed.

I'm not sure we're better than them man for man anymore. Their players are way more consistent and reliable than ours and some in particular have elevated their game to a level we don't see from our guys anymore.

Of course, it's all mainly down to having a decent coach.

Lets just hope Chelsea get over the line ASAP because Spurs winning the league is way too fucked up to comprehend. I'll take them finishing above us on the chin but not that. Christ.

They're a better team. Player mentality is just as if not more important than raw talent. On the talent front we are of similar quality.

When it comes to mentality, it isn't even close.

We'll beat them at WHL. I'm not sure if it would mathematically stop them becoming (whispers) champions, but that would be some icing on the cake.

Well...we are in the FA Cup Semi-Final. I think the City game could go either way, neither side can defend for toffees so it could be a good game.
Have no hope of beating either Chelsea or Spurs in the Final even if we do get there though.

If Boro are unprepared and don't want it more than us (which basically means they don't want it at all), then I guess we might sneak a win and Wenger can sign his contract.

A sign of a humble manager is how they react when they lose.

Conte told Sky Sports: "I think they deserved to win. They showed more desire than us and more motivation, but in this case the fault is with the coach.

In this case I wasn't able to transfer the right motivation to play this type of game."

Nothing about showing spirit and handbrake issues or lacking little bit mentally jaded.

We need to be careful not to become what we used to laugh at. I'm not sure if I want any part of the Stopping Spuds Winning Cup. Next we'll be trying to sabotage their transfers and baking celebration cakes for getting a corner against Bayern.

This is what we have been reduced to NQ, we can't and won't compete. This season is bad enough if you solely judge it on our performance but when you factor in the improvement in our rivals it really hits home what we have become. Let's not beat around the bush here, we are miles behind the Spuds & Chavs this season. It scares me because I don't actually think we have the ambition to put things right. Compare Levy & Abramovich to Kroenke? Compare Poch & Conte as managers to Wenger? It doesn't bode well.

I want to win the CL and relegate stopping the spuds to a routine assumption where it belongs. We're on track to become Newcastle Utd if we start promoting the spuds to the top of our ambition list. You hear the Geordies say, yes we're shite, yes we got relegated - but we beat Sunderland!
