So how much money do we really have to spend, on the Talk sport the other day Parlour was saying we would have next to 90 Million (including the sales of samir ans cesc plus the kitty we have not even touched.

No offence, this is a pointless discussion.

I don't mean this as a criticism of your thread, it is a criticism of the Club.

It's irrelevant.

You could compare our situation to Jenna Jameson being a hot dirty slut who loves cock but she'll never sleep with you.

We don't have any money to spend, but if we had £40million we would spend it. But we are not Manchester City, we must live within the financial realities. Sometimes the fans are impatient and wish for things to happen but they do not understand the financial restrictions. In many ways it is the fault of the fans we do not get new signings. Also there are no quality players available, except at Arsenal.

I think there's approximately £65M to spend, but Wenger will probably spend £10M on some unknown young "talent" from the French League and the remaining £55M will be used to feather the shareholders' own nests.

the ast finance guy assessed it to be 30-40m, as did the swiss rambler blog so these are safe estimates.

add on the fab and most likely nas money then parlours figure could be right.

If you give Wenger 90 million to spend, he'll give it back :coffee:

So we can't compete against Man City, not because they have more money than us but because we need to make profits on our transfers. Not sure why Wenger picks on Man City, he could just as well blame Bolton or Fulham for our outrageous transfer policies.

I reckon when we sell Nasri we'll have approx 70 million to spend, he won't spend it though...he may spend some of it...but not enough of it and not on the right type of players.

Arsene's definition of "Super Quality at the right price" is a project player he can develop or a semi-established player going for next to nothing.

Players sold: 35m

Players bought: 24m

In some ways you haven't even started spending whatever transfer money you started the summer with. Throw in the sale of Nasri and you should have at least 36m before we even start talking about the actual transfer funds that AW had at the start of the transfer window.

All in all AW should have at least about 50m to spend.

While i'd love it if he did his usual stuff of buying random players i think it's highly likely that he will sign someone of note. He has to surely. If not then why the fuck will any ambitious player want to join arsenal. Plus if you don't sign any proper players then i'm pretty sure you won't finish in the top 4 (if you do then King Kenny needs to be taken round the back and shot) which will mean the likes of RVP & Wilshere will start to look elsewhere.

That's probably the plan anyway.

we wont spend much. the cash just accumulates in the bank account and gets netted versus the stadium mortgage, bringing the 'net debt' part of the accounts down.

Lets say we had £30m to start with.

Jenkinson - £1m
Gervinho - £11m
AOC - £15m
Cambell - £1m

= £28m leaving us £2m

Cesc - £25m (up front fee as no add-ons yet)
Clichy - £7m
Eboue - £3.5m
JET - £1m (what is believed to be the figure)

= £38.5m

Add Nasri to that at £25m

= £63.5m

£63.5 million, More than enough, but it remains to be seen just what the fuck wenger is playing at.

AOC and transfers for under 21s come from a different pot.

I really have no idea how much we had to speed in the first place but take into account first years worth of wages.

Consider fees for players on loan, players released and, loyalty and any other termination fees and it paints a maddening picture for this summer. I really think if the manager wanted tohe could spend 80mill on fees alonethis summer. Problem always will be, for us at least, the wages. Why we're waiting so long no one knows, but with the likes of chelsea and even psg sniffing around at our potential targets, evaluations of targets will be way more inflated than what we believe there worth - which is a fucking stupid way of doing business in this age though.
