Everton's transfer plans are being hampered by their inability to borrow from the bank, chairman Bill Kenwright has said.

This should mean we can get Jagielka perhaps?

Jagielka doesn't want to uproot his young family, which is fair enough really. But we should really consider getting Screech or even Baines, as Gibbs is made of glass.

Everton got almost as much money for Lescott as we got for Fabregas.

They know how to negotiate.

We wont get any of their players for what Wenger is prepared to pay for them

That is something I always wonder about players. They must drag the kids around a fair bit.

Well we'll be getting a similar amount for Nasri and he has just the one year left. It's more that Citeh don't have to worry too much about what they pay.

Plus that manu would buy him if the price was much less.

Fabregas was, comparitively, a special case. If Cesc had been prepared to go to anywhere else as well as Barca, then his price would have been higher. Since it was a question of just one buyer then it was just down to how much we could get Barca to pay, while they were playing the bluff game (aka being total c*nts) to see if we would insist on hanging on to him. So price comparison with Cesc and player X is meaningless.

Ok that is fair enough.

It's also fair to say that Everton have been skint for years and haven't sold any of their players for cheap.

It's quite amazing that they're able to keep hold of Arteta, Cahill, Jagielka year after year.

We will not be taking advantage of their lack of cash problems. Most teams in the Prem have a lack of cash and we don't take advantage.

35M for Baines + Fellaini + Cahill.

GG.

If Everton had some outside investment they'd be top 4 contenders for sure. Moyes is a quality manager IMO and it's quite something how he's rarely backed in the transfer market but consistently manages to get his team into the top 8, picking up some notable results along the way because they always seem to take points off the best teams.

I'd take any one of Baines, Jagielka or Fellaini but of course they'd cost the sort of money we're unlikely to pay.

Wenger can´t exploit anyone´s cash problems.
