I can't play videos on Firefox. For instance, when I click a BBC iplayer link in a news story, nothing happens except I get an error message - "This content doesn't seem to be working. Try again later."

When I open the same page ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-15269215 ) in Explorer, the video works.

Has anyone got ideas for how I can get the video to work in Firefox?

I'm on Firefox and the video in that link is working fine for me mate.

Could be an issue with a plug-in maybe? Dunno really, it's probably one of those things that will sort itself out.

Switch to Chrome :good:.

(MO, what happened to your Chrome experiment?)

Try reinstalling Firefox. Or try Chrome.

Did you recently do a Flashplayer update? Probably went wrong. Try updating again. In Firefox delete the Flashplayer add-on, restart the computer. Then go to the page you are having problems with and it will tell you you need Flashplayer to view the video. Follow the download instructions. That usually fixes it.

Forgot the last and most crucial bit...

Use Chrome. Firefox is shite.

Thanks, I did download a flash update so I'll try that when I get home. Loaded up Chrome last night and everything worked fine on that.

Don't put things off if you want to get ahead in life. Leave work early and go home and try it now. If it works you'll need to test it thoroughly by watching YouTube videos for the rest of the afternoon.

So basically, my first post covered it all.

I won't offer my advice in future.
