I think Liverpool might beat City you know.

Although I'd prefer City to win so we can steal a march on Liverpool.

Nah want City to lose asap. They are winning the league this season at a canter but we can't have them winning it unbeaten so the sooner they lose, the better

Liverpool will lose a number of games - they will have plenty of mid table teams getting draws too. Citeh are the team that needs stopping. We want them to have at least a lot of draws.

My hope is that they lose a couple of games and the players start blaming each other, causing friction in the dressing room. If they also fail to reach the knock-out stage in the CL and the manager looks like he might be replaced, that will help too. Time to activate our secret infiltrators of Clichy and Kolo to start stirring it. :good:

Newcastle to beat Utd. The Pool to beat City.

Us to stuff Fulham.

That would be ideal.

Spuds will lose also.

We'll probably beat City and lose our next home game to QPR.

if citeh win the league unbeaten, it wont be a great acheivement tbh. they bought it. no doubt the media will go mad and say it was a better one then ours

why? cos we built it, we'd been at the top for five years, it was us or united. we built it and earnt it and city just threw money at it. otherwise how can a midtable team go to champions in three years without fuckloads of money?

Like i said going unbeatern would be an achievement if they were to surpass our record, nothing about winning the league diffrent thing all together. They can win the leaue and still be beatern.

But to go unbeatern is hard no matter how much money you spent.

They'll get beaten at some point. They're not that great. Any team with sone nouse and bollocks will work out how to turn them over. They ain't the best team there ever has been. Just most of the league has rolled over for them so far.

That's what I think sets the Invincibles apart. They were made to work for a lot of their results, their resilience was outstanding. They only scored 73 goals in that season, I say 'only' because we've managed to top that total several times since then, but of course it's all been in vain.

All well and good hitting teams for 5's and 6's every week, City haven't proven anything yet.

I think there are many teams that have the potential to finish 3rd...even 2nd; ourselves included. Tottenham have stole a march on the rest but 6 points is not a big difference at all at this stage and whereas I think we can improve a lot when Wilshere gets back, the spuds are at their limit and can only go down. They will have a bad patch sooner or later - most teams do...we just have to capitalise.

There's no way you can say something like that. People take tragic news in different ways. Didn't Sagna play the day after his dad died or something? It doesn't mean they care any less.

But Speed made Ramsey the captain and I'm sure he would've had a close friendship but hard to say anything beyond that. Not sure Ramsey would've featured in mid-week anyway.

It was Sagna's brother who died. Not saying Ramsey would miss the next 5 games, but he may want to sit out the next 2 or 3, like you say he won't play in the cc or even the CL but he may want to miss the wigan game too. Thats just my opinion though. like you say who knows.

He has made this statement:

"I was given the tragic news this morning. To say I am devastated is an understatement. My thoughts and prayers go out to Gary's family and friends. Today the world has lost a great football manager but even more sadly a great man. He will be missed by all."

He has made this statement:

"I was given the tragic news this morning. To say I am devastated is an understatement. My thoughts and prayers go out to Gary's family and friends. Today the world has lost a great football manager but even more sadly a great man. He will be missed by all."

In other news, Wilshere should just stop tweeting.

JACK WILSHERE'S 10 STEP PROGRAMME TO BECOMING A REAL MAN:
Man up, you big girl's blouse!

http://www.talksport.co.uk/sites/default/files/imagecache/ts_magazine_big_picture/wilshere%20web.jpg

Teenage Arsenal midfielder Wilshere – whose voice has now broken – stunned journalists at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur this week when he said, "Loyalty is a big part of football and it shows if you are a real man or not." Those who were shocked by this apparent verbal attack on team-mate Cesc Fabregas were soon disappointed when the 19-year-old claimed (after a scathing glance from the gaffer, probably) that Cesc had in fact been loyal to club in the past.

But in these troubled times for those of us with XY chromosomes, we sought out young Wilshere's thoughts on what constitutes the making of a 'real man'. Therefore we spent literally minutes analysing his Twitter account to spot the deciphering attributes. Metrosexuals beware, here is Jack Wilshere's 10 step program to becoming a real man…

REAL MEN…
1) Real men eat strawberries in bed

2) Real men wear yellow aviator sunglasses

3) Real men watch Gossip Girl in bed

4) Real men pose topless with pug dogs

5) Real men love their dads

6) Real men drink coffee and eat Nutella on toast

7) Real men can't wee when someone is watching

8) Real men enjoy the saxophone

9) Real men wear patent winkle pickers

10) Real men are loyal to their football team! (Not talking about you, Cesc)

Swansea 0-0 Villa, FT. Not a huge surprise that result, makes you wonder if Sky pushed for the match to be played.

Eck's comments about "all the cameras being here" seemed to suggest so. Something tells me that nice Mr Hunt will overlook that and award Rupert the 100% he wants before too long anyway.

That game was a bit of a non-event, reminded me (not just from a Villa perspective either) of a 91/92 game. Shapeless, amorphous, mistake-strewn, and ugly. I was half-expecting Elton Welsby to pop up at the end.

1-1 FT.

Probably the best result. While it would be nice if Citeh got nothing, it helps if Liverpool don't get 3.

I guess it is the dream of being able to challenge for the title if we continue with our overall improvement, but that needs Citeh to do a serious set of poor results, balanced against not wanting Liverpool to be the ones to deprive us of a CL spot.

Bent is fine, Agbonlahor is too hit and miss and we have too many of those and if Albrighton cant get in to a piss poor Villa side, he should be able to walk in to ours tbh

Agree about Heskey
