I don’t think it will be that straightforward - we can’t win at home forever, so points could be dropped there soon, especially with all the rotation we have to do.
At the same time, two back-to-back away wins in tough arenas will put us in good stead. Before December, our away form was decent, so hopefully we’re over that (big) hump now (I think it was the Liverpool thrashing that broke us).
One goal conceded in the past seven games is really good going. Although, we’ll probably have to rest Kos before he breaks into pieces and we have no Sokratis so it’s a tricky one. Monreal has played a lot recently and he’s no youngster either.
We need to be sharp today, but provided we are i'd hope we'd win, i guess the main worry is Zaha up against Mustafi, that's worth two or three free-kicks and possibly a pen to Palace, which Milivojevic will duly convert - i think 2-1 to us though
Apparently Torreira and Xhaka might not make it today due to small injuries which is far from ideal.
Jenko and Elneny start - need to go for goals early.
Leno, Jenkinson, Mustafi, Koscielny, Mavropanos, Kolasinac, Elneny, Guendouzi, Ozil, Lacazette, Aubameyang.
Goals galore needed.
Jeez, that 'defence' ...
98% of Palace's goals are pelanties.
And they play almost exclusively on the break.
In previous years, I'd expect us to give away two stupid pelanties and get caught constantly with counter-attacks.
Under Emery, I have hope that the players have prepared for this.
Too many changes could affect the cohesion. But for the most part, Emery's rotation has been effective recently.
Palace: Guaita, Ward, Kelly, Dunn, Wan-Bissaka, Meyer, McArthur, Milivojevic, Kouyate, Zaha, Benteke.
Hennessey is on the bench with his copy of Mein Kampf for light reading.
Mesut shot, easily saved.
