The DUP are unlikely to have as much influence after the next election so as much as they might not like May’s deal had they voted against it would have been turkeys voting for Christmas

Sounds familiar.
May statement at 10.
Here's where I am.
in 2016, Government were given a mandate to negotiate a withdrawal from the EU.
Almost 3 years later, the withdrawal has been negotiated. That withdrawal agreement was heavily rejected.
In my opinion, that ends the mandate. Unless that agreement can be changed enough to get through Parliament, that's it, we remain where we are.
I think Leavers would argue, with some justification, that the mandate was simply to leave the EU.
What that looks like, as we've discussed, was not outlined.
So I don't think it does end the mandate, the only thing which would is a second referendum.
I'm not sure Parliament have said that no deal is out of the question, have they?
There's been no vote on that, in fact that is the default position if we don't come to a deal.
You lost, get over it!
But at least we've got our country back.
