So I’ve read the Indictment now
It kind of feels to me that, it’s hard to treat these charges too seriously simply because it’s almost inconceivable that his conspiracy attempts could have succeeded. There’s evidence that suggested he well knew that nothing that would happen in January 6th would succeed in turning the election in his favour….but there’s evidence that he wanted Pence to prevent certification even though he knew Pence could not do this and stated to him “you’re too honest” -basically implying Pence should blag his way through.
There’s proof that he wanted the crowd to create enough nuisance to delay certification and pretty much had to be told by White House counsel to stop tweeting otherwise given what he knew they were now doing, he could be had for incitement.
Made knowingly false claims about what evidence they had and what process the courts were at in order to induce state legislators to delay or void so that the results from those states would still be in contest by the time of the safe harbour deadline in mid December
It’s small fry shit that even he must have known couldn’t have succeeded but might still get him in trouble.
What again strikes me is that he has at least three co-defendants (Guiliani, Lin Wood and Sydney Powell) who knew at every turn they had nothing to base what they were doing on, but are likely at the very least to be disbarred for what? Placating a giant man baby for who loyalty is a one way street
