Cup final hype.
Now we're a mid table bunch of chancers, this suddenly feels quite big.
Come on 14.

Come on you Gunners.
We need revenge on last season and we’re due a good win against the scum.
What time is kick off?
17.30
Good point, I had omitted that.
The choice is a plucky against-the-odds win or a Europa-style humiliation, i'd obviously prefer the first but either way it's not really where we should be
Chelsea are the better team but defensively they’re possibly worse than us. They’ve conceded 54 goals this season, which is unheard of for a Chelsea team in recent memory. I believe their collective options in midfield and attack is better than ours though.
We’re underdogs but we’ve been here before, we can turn up for a one off if we need to. Likewise we could just shit the bed like we did last year in Baku.
Fuck knows.
The good news is that Mustafi is out of the picture. Giroud would dominate him physically, and I wouldn't bet against him giving away a penalty. The bad news is that the rest of our defenders aren't much better.
I do feel more confident about this game than against Liverpool or City. Bring the cup home lads
3-0
Win this and the season will be up there with 92/93
Any chance we can pass Saliba off as Mustafi?
After the City game, I felt confident going into the final. But seeing us produce that shit show against Watford, I am seriously worried now. Chelsea have a very good attack/midfield and with Giroud, you know he loves a goal in these kind of games.
Holding has mare against Watford and will need to sort himself out on Saturday.
Head says 2-0 loss. Heart says 1-2 win.
i'm just hoping our players were focussing on not getting injured ahead of the final and took their foot off the pedal once we were 3-0 up.
hopefully Lumplard's been put into a false sense of security anyway
there's no doubt Giroud will score though, it's written in ancient texts somewhere ...
I fancy us to concentrate / fight harder against Chelsea than I did against Watford or Villa, but even at our (current) best there's still a chance that any one of 4 or 5 players could self-destruct at any moment.
That's just what we have to work with right now, though, so not much point in fretting over getting the selection right - there's going to be at least one or two land mines in there.
BBC build-up on iPlayer (Football Focus will be on BBC1 I am sure too though):

Got a bad feeling we're going to get turned over.
I honestly can't call it.
City I thought we were in for a pasting. Play like that we did that day again though and we have a real chance. But will we?
That was such a random performance. A total anomaly to what we’ve seen all season. Pray we can replicate that again.
Usually I’m nervous as fuck ahead of finals but I just don’t expect much anymore from Arsenal, so I’m fairly chilled about this.
i just don't want it to be as embarrassing as the EL final
anyway - lineups?
mine would be
Martinez
AMN Sokratis Holding Tierney Saka
Torreira Ceballos
Pepe Laca Auba
much as I hate playing Auba on the left i think Saka should be at LWB with Tierney in the left of a back three, plus Laca's started to show some kind of decent signs lately - plus I've just given up hoping Arteta will ever not play Auba on the left
I know people will say Xhaka should play but he's just too prone to getting into trouble, especially with Taylor being the ref, and also just being too slow against the likes of people like Pulisic
I'd also have Ozil and Guendouzi on the bench but i know there's no chance of that
and I've already put £5000 on Willock coming on with twenty minutes to go...
Can’t see Sok playing. Think it’s obvious Arteta doesn’t fancy him.
I reckon we’ve seen enough to know who he prefers from this ramshackle lot.
Sure, I know Sokratis won't play, which is a shame but as you say Arteta doesn't like him, no doubt he 'doesn't train hard enough'
So Arteta thinks Luiz is worth the risk, after all what can go wrong when's he's easily wound up, playing against his old club and got sent off at Stamford Bridge...?
SHE WORE!!!!
WHAT DID SHE WEAR??
In the merry month of, err, August
And when we asked her, why she wore her facemask
She said it’s for The Arsenal and we’re going to Wem Ber LEE!
Come on you Gunners!!!
I hope we win.
Martinez
Holding Luiz Tierney
AMN Ceballos Xhaka Saka
Pepe Laca Auba
No way Luiz doesn’t start, unfortunately - there’s so little creativity through the middle up top that we need his ability to play line-breaking passes from deep.
Ditto for Xhaka - Torreira just doesn’t offer enough on the ball to be a starter, and I’m not sure this is the time to throw Willock in.
AMN over Bellerin or Soares is the only one I’m not sure about there, but I like Ainsley - was impressed with how he coped with Man City’s left and Traore in recent weeks, and I think he looks more motivated than the other two.
