I found Giroud’s temperament questionable at times. When things weren’t going well, it appeared as if he was actively trying to get himself sent off.
However, he was very effective whenever we needed to change tack and created a lot of problems for opposing defenders. He scored a lot of vital goals and rescued points for us.
Yes, he missed chances. But all strikers do. I was sorry to see him go. We could do with him now if only to bring on as an effective substitute when we need to chase a game which these days is often.
