Mesut has not travelled with the squad.
It is rather pointless having a guy that cannot play or even be involved for a weekend and then midweek.

Ugh, early start means 3am kick off here.
Ozil needs resting apparently.
Total fraud.
71 minutes too much workload for him.
Fortnite is reaching quarterfinals stage I hear. Man needs to rest
Has it occurred to any of you that this might be Emery being a dick, not Ozil?
i'm more concerned that he's taking Auba.
he should be PL-only as a firm rule until such time as we really need him in EL games (probably the final...if we get there...)
Ozil is forever a mystery. Hopefully Auba doesn't start.
Hopefully Pepe finds the net....really needs a goal. Don't suppose anyone at the club will coach him to use his right foot....
expecting a roller coaster of excitement from this years Europa League.....
no idea if Frankfurt are any good. should be decent I guess... could be a tricky game away from home. no idea why Auba is going when laca is already out injured... surely that is a risk too far. Ozil should be on a pay as you play basis.
Frankfurt are probably the strongest team we've been drawn against in the EL group stages, which doesn't say much give how shitty this competition is but it's not an easy game by any means. No doubt we will get turned over if we don't apply ourselves correctly.
His ball for AMN on Sunday which then yielded the assist for our second goal was pretty good
He as good as made that goal.
I'm not arguing he's contributed enough but the question here is it Ozil saying he needs a rest or Emery deciding not to play him because of reasons. He didn't play Ozil much last year.
What you say could be the case but I would offer that most players of any gumption or motivation these days will kick up a stink if they aren't regularly playing.
Frankfurt: Trapp, Abraham, Hasebe, Hinteregger, Da Costa, Kamada, Kohr, Sow, Kostic, Silva, Dost.
Subs: Ndicka, Falette, Fernandes, Joveljic,
Chandler, Ronnow, Mendes Paciencia.
The Arsenal: Martinez, Chambers, Mustafi, David Luiz, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Torreira, Smith Rowe, Willock, Saka, Aubameyang.
Subs: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Guendouzi, Ceballos, Nelson, Pepe, Martinelli.
Mustafi is baaaaaack!
Chandler on the bench. :haha:
Could he BE any more excited?
Awful miss from Torreira!
Saka.
I forgot Adolf Hutter is their coach.
Our midfield is just non-existent. Their defenders can just pass straight through to the forwards.
Willock puts it over. Sort it out kids!
WILLOCK!!!!!!
Martinez saves from Andre Silva!
0-1 HT!
1-0 half time.
We look great on the counter attack, but very open at the back at times. Xhaka just doesn't have the legs to cover the defence and Torreira isn't close enough to him. Not sure if that's on instruction, but it isn't working.
Dost should've done better with that header.
Saka looks seriously good every time he gets a chance to play.
Tearing it up in the Bundesliga after being sold for 70 pence while Mkhitaryan and Ozil are still getting starts next season?
Well done Mustafi.
Didn't think I would be saying that.
We are completely incapable of breaking up any attacks. Just live in hope the opposition miss the target.
Willock.
What a run.
Auba unlucky.
Well claimed Martinez.
Our freekick smacks the bar, not that Xhaka meant it to be an effort near target.
ESR off, Pepe on.
Auba scuffer.
Willock off for some reason, Ceballos on.
Chandler is on!
He used to be play for Trabzpon, Trabzpons, Trabzsponstor!
Kolasinac booked.
Kohr sent off!
