This stuff IS highly subjective. BUT, at least with VAR the referee has as much information as possible to make the decision.
Before VAR there were too many instances where everyone at home knew almost immediately that a big decision had been got wrong. That shouldn’t happen now.

I think that’s partly because we are not used to it. Other sports have embraced it and in some cases it can add to the tension. I think we’ll get used to that.
