The thing that puzzles me with LVG is he seems to have been credited by the English media and Man U fans with playing amazing football and creating the Ajax and Barca blueprints. But wasn't that Cruyff's work??
I seem to remember in Bergkamp's book that everyone at Ajax hated LVG's style of play and Cruyff and LVG were total opposites in how they thought the game should be played?
Be interesting to see how he deals with Rooney. His agent was genius in getting him that mega contract as Man U won't be able to get him out of the club now. For me RVC is a million times better and you can't play 442 these days so Rooney's benched.
