I guess the only way Ronaldo is going to win it, providing Messi carries on in the same way, is to win the WC.
And hope Messi doesn't win anything else. Or take Argentina to the final. And score 200 goals in a season.
Well, the Ballon d'Or was won by Shevchenko in 2004, which I can't really argue with. The other one, which Ronaldinho won, yeah I didn't understand that one but then, this one (and back then) is voted for by coaches and players, I think.
So let me get this straight, when Barca win trophies and Ronaldo has a better season but Messi wins the award, it's cos Barca won stuff. When Real win stuff and break all kind of records doing so with Ronaldo at the fore front of arguably the greatest club side ever and Messi scores more goals and he still wins the award, it's cos he had the better individual season. The criteria for this joke award changes all the time to suit Messi.
Oh well, Ronaldo will have to be content with being the Best in the world at what he does and Messi can keep the laughable accolade of being the best in the world despite not deserving it
