Good performance from the team, Walcott good but can be just as effective from the wings, being a striker is just an ego trip for him. He should sign and lets be done with it

dont understand this, so what if its an ego thing, if he bangs in the goals and performances he can be the biggest egotistical player in the world for all i care.....i recall a time when Gooners enjoyed the arrogance and ego of Henry.

Ian Wright and his ego is partically responsible for me becoming a gooner.

Everyone played well bar Gibbs, who had an actual holocaust.

Because good players are beyond definition. Is Messi a striker.....no he plays in a fluid 3 with 2 other intelligent players. Henry was a striker but never stayed stagnant in the middle. the problem with walcott trying to hog the central position is that he eliminates the effectiveness of the cross from the wings and the ball up the top. If you look at todays goals. Giroud probably cant score walcotts goals and Walcott certainly couldnt score any of Girouds goals.

Incredible second half. Really need to see that again.

We really stepped up the urgency in the second 45. Everyone was great going forward but great finishing by Walcott - very close to a goal-a-game player now. It's going to be horrible when another one of those leaves. We're starting to see the little partnerships developing and more chances are being created as a result. Podolski and Walcott seem to link up very well. And Wilshere and Cazorla seem to know where to drop off now.

I think defensively Gibbs should've done better on 2 of Newcastle's goals. But can't be arsed nit-picking on that right now.
