Tbh, while I think the government have cocked many things up in all this I do think they've tried fairly hard to protect people, with the above, making banks offer mortgage holidays, banning landlords from evicting people.

The help for the self-employed and freelancers has very big gaps in it, a lot of freelance workers don't qualify and have seen their work go, so they're in real trouble

Also they didn't ban evictions, they just brought in 3-month delay, which is about to run out btw, meaning the next epidemic will be homelessness

Another example of a Government policy, made by POLITICIANS, having a significant effect - oh but according to NQ it's all Bill Gates

Well if you want to openly lie about what people have said then I guess you can come to whatever conclusion is required. I said Gates was a monopolist swine trying to corner the market on human suffering. His piece of the pie is elsewhere. The banksters get the main slice, as always. Bill's got some way to go before he qualifies to join the ranks of that demonic legion. Though he's working on his global currency, so you never know, he might get a chair at the top table.

Good idea that will soon be integrated into mainstream banking - at which point it will become a bad idea, just like all the others. In principle though, any means by which private individuals can conduct commerce without the interference of the state is a good thing. I don't have any. I was offered bitcoin as payment for a project, years ago. Probably be worth a fortune now. Should have taken it.
