It's like I say, the majority of voters are the complacent and apathetic ones. Brain dead headlines, silly diversions, a cheaper pint and meanwhile the foundation rots away unnoticed. These newspapers deliver theatre, not news. They are easily consumable, allow easy formation of simplified plots, perpetuate myths and fables, operate in terms of goodies and baddies. Drip, drip, drip. When you fill up peoples time with bullshit then everything becomes bullshit. There's no time for anything but bullshit. It's too simple to say they are thick because they read the (overtly racist) Sun. They most likely read it because it makes bullshit so easy to consume. Better than the Times, which serves its bullshit in excruciating detail and with a snobbish flourish. Its readers are invited to be a better class of gullible idiot.

I don't think the majority of people are thick, not based on my experiences anyway. I just think they are badly mislead and can't connect the misinformation and disinformation with a working incentive to be part of a solution rather than part of the problem.

    So, basically, yeah I do.
Didn't you say you voted Tory? Or was that a joke?

I didn't say you said anything about his policies
Just making the point that style > substance in terms of how people vote.
And while that's not a new things it's definitely got worse in the era of blanket media coverage and shows like the X-Factor and BGT which in theory are talent shows but in practice are popularity contests.

Anyway, I better get on with work while I still have work. I'm hoping the Tories take at least a few days off to fuck rent boys and bathe in the blood of the elderly and infirm. They'll be back on the case soon enough and this time with a mandate for double penetration.

I did, but not because I'm strongly affiliated with that party, or any other party
I voted for them because I vaguely trust them more than Labour with the economy and on a local level I like our local MP - I know him well enough to say hello to, have chatted to him a few times and he seems like a decent enough bloke. I'm happy enough for him to represent me.

By nature I feel most affiliated with the Lib Dems but they are a distant 3rd in my area so with FPTP I don't see any sense in voting for them.

That perception again that they can be trusted with the economy. Why?

Yet you criticise and pass judgement on millions of people based on the TV they watch?
