Its probably a good thing Lord Ashcroft is a billionaire because his legal bills when he is inevitably sued for libel are going to be quite large. Listening to the author of the book, she admits that she doesn't know whether the allegation is true or not but it sounded funny. If i was going to make a serious allegation against the current Prime Minster, I'd make sure I had all the facts and evidence.
On a serious note, its actually refreshing to see that a donor who has given a lot of money to a party, is not given any power because of it. A decision that now looks a wise one, as Ashcroft as shown himself to be petty and vindictive (he has already admitted this book is about revenge).

The mostly silent majority that elect Governments won't remember this. All it took was a post-it note and Tory spin to rub out what happened to plunge this country into debt. The arseholes I work with won't be affected and millions of others like them too. When this was on the radio news during the day, one piped up with 'well that's out of order'. A week before someone else proudly boasted about the £8billion the Tories have vaguely promised to put into the NHS. Even though it needs three times that amount to sustain itself and despite Cameron getting ready to finish the job Thatcher started once TTIP gets the seal of approval. The masses believe whatever dumb bullshit the media spin them. Corbyn won't get elected because of that but hopefully at least his presence, ideals and approach can have a longer affect that helps change this current sham of a set-up.
