You can follow celebs, some of whom just write the "What I just ate" sort of tweets, and they're a bit boring. That's following people just because they're famous. Good example is Simon Pegg. Like him, but his tweets are boring as fuck. Just explaining what he's doing on a day-to-day basis.

Some journalists tweet what happens at protests in real-time, or at press conferences. One tweeter was a neighbour of Osama when the helicopters were landing and was sharing that as it was happening. A lot of good Arsenal-tweeters are out there too. Some journos from major newspapers, some bloggers (goonblog, younggunsblog, arseblog) who have up-to-date news as well as links to their blogs.
and can you share photo's and video's and stuff on it as well?

Yeah, nothing fancy. You just add the URL link. People can either click it for a new tab/window, or view it in the twitter window itself by clicking on the tweet (it'll appear on the right).

The only real restriction is the 140-character limit. You can circumvent that with various programmes which add a shortened link, like bit.ly or yfrog (which is what people use to upload pictures directly - it's what all the Arsenal players use). Most sites have their own shortened url address now. For example, you can make YT shorten a link for you to youtu.be/____.

Anyway, I'm not a massive proselytiser for Twitter. I hated it at first, but now I like it, and I find it useful, but each to their own.

I dont really see any benifit to it over Facebook is all and facebook is a lot easier to use IMO. But yeah each to their own.

Well FB is turning into twitter a lot more now. As well as the benefits of photo uploads, video/link sharing etc., they're also encouraging famous bands etc. to update using their official FB pages, just as twitter has its "verified" accounts.

For example, I "follow" Dave McPherson on Twitter and "like" him on FaceBook, so I get updates in both feeds from him. They're usually just duplicates, so he's hedging his bets. I'd still say Twitter is easier for non-band stalking. Also, it gives you the chance to connect with eyewitnesses who may not be known at all before an event, and therefore won't have their own FaceBook fan pages to follow and get updates from.

Piers Morgan has been WUMing Owen.

It's funny winding up overpaid, underworked footballers like you.
Oops. Hit that late night raw nerve again, Benchwarmer? Calm down, you've got that angelic halo to protect....
Did your horse actually run? Or did it get a winner's medal just by turning up in the paddock like its owner?
