He also scored probably the most fantastic goal I have ever seen live (on telly) in a WC, bettered only by Maradona`s mazy run through the entire England team. He also scored some pretty trick goals in the EPL too. A master of the game. BOBN you need to see a shrink. I will pay cos you need help.

If we go by stats alone, then Frank Lampard must be the best attacking mid, the world has ever seen
Bergkamp was amazing. His goal against Newcastle was unbelievable and never seen a goal like that. (although only because his goal against Argentina was similar to his goal against Leicester).

The problem with the best teams is that Drogba/Henry partnership wouldn't work. Bergkamp/Henry best partnership in the Premier League ever.

So he didn't score as many as he could have, that's probably because he was too busy on the edge of the box cutting defences apart. Bergkamp was only a striker in name, everyone knew he dropped off the front line and wasn't relied on for goals. The original number 10.

    Good point on Lampard. Overall

That WC goal was amazing. The Newcastle goal, that assist to Ljungberg against Juve....he's the sort of player that's missing in the modern game. I really miss that era. An abundance of supreme talent across the top leagues.

All this of talk of Bergkamp and Vieira shows how far Wenger has fallen.

I guess you are bound to feel nostalgic when your former players include Bergy, PV, Henry, Pires, Campbell, Laure, Freddie etc.

reading what players from their generation had to say about facing those Arsenal teams says it all really, they were a tough tough team.

Notice how Bergkamp rarely makes these peer lists, but let our fans tell it hes the best player the club has ever seen

Good player for us but behind Henry, Vieira, Pires and arguably Campbell and RVP in the Wenger era. Didnt score enough goals as a forward to be taken overly seriously.
Comical. If being as clueless as this is how you get on TV then no wonder nobody with a clue is on TV. These guys are pure hype merchants for the latest and greatest version of TBLitW. Zabaleta - fucking crazy without even getting to the rest.

That's how Wenger should play Ozil.
Imagine putting Bergkamp on the wing.

Like Bergkamp stated, he would go up to Wenger and tell him that he is wrong. The new kids on the block in the club look at Wenger as if he is Gandhi, and dont say a word!
Arsene Wenger, the only football manager that got paid 8 million quid to do nothing but sit on his arse..

Zabaleta, Silva and Kompany had me in splits!! They have got to be kidding me! They have barely played at this level and they are in the list. I know its personal opinion of Carragher.. but its a real shit opinion.
