There's too much money sloshing around English clubs for them to not make the improvement needed within 2-3 seasons. Meanwhile I don't really see Italian teams holding on to their best players and creating the kind of strength in depth they had in the late 90's/early 2000's.
Of course the uproar from the Premier League would be pretty funny if 4th went down the drain.
The way things stand with us now as a team. If it was just based on quality. I cannot see us realistically getting by Juve, Inter, Lazio, Roma, Napoli or any of the top 5 teams in Italy on a 2 stage knock out contest. We are that shit.
