It exists, nonetheless. Although I'm not sure if it's confidential in the same way as the Catholic sacrament, so maybe that's why prods don't bother.

The prods do bother confessing things, we just don’t do it via a priest as we don’t need to. Jesus certainly didn’t tell us to go via a 3rd party. The dude who started our church has a saying I quite like. When asked if he believed in women priests he said “I don’t believe in male priests”

DIY absolution? Sounds like something Henry would come up with. Why do you use an intermediary for the other bits then?

Not that I'm against it, I think it's a great idea to cut priests out of the action and adopt personal responsibility and accountability.
