I’m not going to hate him for that.

He was the architect of the greatest football I have ever seen and am ever likely to see. We will never know what would’ve happened had the football landscape not shifted to the extent it has pretty much fucked up the entire sport.

But it happened and he couldn’t adapt with it. Nor could he accept it.

Today brought back for me, great memories. Memories I hope to some day bore the shit out of my grandchildren with.
