I like that Emery used some important players in this rather than dabbling in the false economy that is resting players. Auba needed the goals so hopefully his floodgates have opened.
maybe, maybe not - i don't think either of the goals were Leno's fault, the first was a f**kup by lichtsteiner and the second a result of our messing about with short corners and general timewasting while they were still keen to score goals, plus not for the first time we weren't defending the right-back area well enoughCech would have saved that too
Won the game in the end against let's face it a pub team, disappointing to concede two goals again, defence isn't really showing much signs of improvement, think a change or personnel will be required (most likely next summer) as just not sure we have the personnel to be good defensively.
