I think the writers thought each episode was an hour, then told that it was 45, so wrap up the baddy tout suite Rodney!
ETA not sure about the "afterlife" stuff, I'm sure there will be some point to it at the end, just feels like a weak copy of DEATH from Pratchett IMHO.

I watched The Simpsons/Family Guy crossover episode last night.
It wasn't very good because the writers just used it as a platform to poke fun at each other, no real effort went into the actual content.
Both shows are shit now, IMO.

Saw a trailer and couldn't be bothered.
The difference in animation means it simply couldn't work even if it was well written.
