Nearly at the end of S1.

    Acting and storyline are awful.

That bird who plays Thea is fit as fuck.

And that's why I watch it
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.

call the midwife was on, a married man arrested for engaging in sexual activity in a public place whilst his heavily pregnant wife was at home and the show portrayed him as the victim

Do you think that gays should be arrested and sent to prison or chemically castrated?

And that's the only two choices in the 21st century How enlightened.

What's wrong with deportation? Or putting them in a circus and paying them a fair wage?

Thought Wolf Hall was pretty slow and dull considering the loony bin it is set in. Bit like watching a history lecture. Won't bother with episode 2.

    no

but in no sense was he in the right to do what he did and not just because it was a man he was trying to do things with either.

fairly sure it is set in the 20th century

I doubt many in the uk would say homosexual sex should be illegal but most would probably say having sex of any kind in a public place should be.

is forcing a treatment on people with a sexual desire any more enlightened than making treatment illegal for those with a desire they don't want? also I wouldn't say the 21st century is particularly enlightened but that is for another thread.

I don't think he was 'in the right' but he lived in an era when what he did - what he was - was illegal, so he had to suppress those feelings and sneak around. And that wasn't right either. I think that's the point that was being made.
