On our first date, as it was raining, MrsL and me went to see a film. Wasn't sure what to see so we settled on "Never Let Me Go" which I picked on the basis that Kiera Knightly.

Never Let Me Go is a good film.
National Treasure is one of the best things I've seen this year, in film or TV. Great writing, fantastic score and not a single misstep in any of the performances. Coltrane and Riseborough were excellent. I know Walters has been up for a couple of Oscars in her lifetime but I always get the feeling she isn't appreciated as much as she should be, like Judi Dench for example, when she is every bit her equal.
And yes, it is a good film. Just not a great one for a first date.

I watched the first episode. Haven't watched any more but been recording it. Quite enjoyed the first episode, not sure it really grabbed me like some other shows have though. Will watch the 2nd one some time and see how it goes.

Got one and a half episodes through before giving up. The adverts on channel 4 are fucking shocking and destroy the very notion of entertainment. Cunts basically.
Even so, despite it being wonderfully acted out, it was way too predictable for me.
