It's pretty much the same as ever. Some moments of potential excellence bogged down by rote mundanity and never really going anywhere because dragging it out to an inordinate amount of seasons is more important than having a satisfying arc.

I decided to watch the Young Ones on BritBox. They are doing a 30 day freebie btw, so sign up, watch the shit out of it and then drop like it's infected with a plague. Don't want to be paying the BBC twice now, do you? All the old Dr Who stuff on there too, with not a sign of that cunt Jodie Whittaker or that uber cunt Chris "So woke I make caffeine look like a sedative" Chibnall.

I mean I'm stupid enough to keep going because I've stuck with it for so long (see also: Arsenal) but in your heart (or whatever of it still remains), you know it's an eneven trudge with bursts of brilliance which started deteriorating further after Negan became a sort of Poochy moment, with possibly worse writing.

If Negan becomes a camp councillor then I'm out for good. Are they planning more series of this or is season 10 it? I mean, where could they go with more seasons? Shame really. It used to be one of the best things on TV, along with GOT before that was utter shit too. I wonder why they feel compelled to turn all the good stuff into excrement?

If you think Westworld looks too convoluted to bother with, try Altered Carbon. The second series just went up on Netflix a few weeks ago, but the first especially is mostly good fun. It's basically Blade Runner meets 40s film noir, but trashier, more violent and you can watch it mindlessly too because the action scenes are really impressive.
