I'm reading this book 'One blood' about gang culture (a very insightful read). Anyway, whilst reading this morning had a flashback to post match 2 nights ago...Left the pins, got to the bus stop and there was one hoodie there, nobody else. Waited about 10 minutes then as the bus pulled up, a couple who'd just arrived virtually barged Mr Hoodie teen out of the way and attempted to board the bus. I put my arm across like a psychotic traffic policeman and ushered the hoodie onto the bus saying 'excuse me but this young man was first.' I then proceeded onto the bus feeling virtuous and there was no credit on my bloody oyster card meaning a fumble of the bag for £2.30 and apologies to waiting behind me.
The moral of the story is: I don't know.

Bus queues are a misnomer, it's every man for himself. Use your elbows.
Sad but true - In London anyway - just got back from visiting my Mum in Devon last week and people do queue there. I refuse to give up the fight for manners however - was the first time I found myself fighting for the right of a hoodie is all. He was really nice about it after too. Other people were just miffed.
