So in about three months I'll be moving to Barcelona for the year to work on my thesis (I'm a graduate student at UNC-Chapel Hill go Heels!). Anyone here ever been to Barca? I hear it's a festive kind of town. Any suggestions on what to do while I'm there?

Barca used to hold open training sessions (not sure if they still do?), so it's worth going to watch them. My parents went and got some awesome close up snaps of the team.

I've been to Barcelona many times - it is an incredibly vibrant city. The list of things to do is pretty much limitless.
It is the only time I've been out on the town, looked at my watch and said, 'holy fuck, its 7:45, we'd better get back to the hotel!'
Which we did, collected our beach gear and spent the rest of the day sleeping on the beach in glorious sunshine.
Btw both fakeyank and I got robbed while there, so keep you eyes on your valuables!
