Watched a double bill of formula one related films at the weekend

    Rush and Senna

Rush is fun to watch with Ron Howard's populist touch
Senna is an excellent documentary in that it uses its footage rather than anecdotal interviews to tell its story.

    Fury Road

A Mad Max film without Max

The film itself is diabolical, terrible characters, non-existent plot (which to be fair is standard with later Max films), but the creativity of the director makes it worth a watch. Film has a strange mood which is infectious if you can somehow shut out the female cast.

Latest Jurassic Park, bugged out half way through. Garbage. Ironic in that the film falls for its own premise, bigger, louder, so OTT you have to rely almost entirely on idiocy, which is what this film excels at.

You've got to love the guy chained to giant speakers playing thrash metal guitar during the pursuit.

I think the point with the film is that it's not meant to have great character depth or exposition it's meant to be the post-apocalyptic equivalent of stomp with explosions, and chalky palloured henchmen with blood cancer.

    "Jurassic World"

Did what it said on the tin. Bit silly but enjoyable enough.

    Nightcrawler.

    Jake Gyllenhaal is pretty cool.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

Watched Terminator Genisys, it's nostalgic fun in places but has nothing really to add to the franchise....that it's better than Terminator Salvation only reinforces how terrible that film was.

    Guardians of the Galaxy

Meh. It's fine, pretty funny in places, but it's more of the same.
The do seem to be making the same film over and over again
