Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Re-watched this last night to remind myself as I’m watching the new one today.
It’s good but holes in the plot bigger than in the Arsenal defence.
Lots of parts really don’t make much sense.
Enjoyable enough though.

Last Jedi at least tried to take the plot in a new direction. Which is admirable given the mandate by Disney/Lucasfiilm seems to have been just to retread old ground with different faces and a more cohesive visual style.
Saying that, the new one was really good fun and has the best pacing of the new films. It never really lets up. Ironically, it seems heavily influenced by Guardians Of The Galaxy.
Star Wars has always been a massively erratic mishmash that is better in theory and people's memories than on the actual screen. It's always been poorly written so any complaints about plotholes, inconsistencies and a deep analysing of it's philosophies are futile.
In conclusion, Rogue One is obviously the best Star Wars film because it's a focused, finite story that is efficiently told by a talented director and it has the best robot.
It really does have the best robot.
Though it's only competition is a rolling trash can and a shiny gay butler.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.
And that one in Solo that was, well....gratingly unfunny.
Wait, did Solo actually come out?
I have a vague memory of it. Like one of those straight-to-video Disney sequels in the 90s. Apart from the Aladdin ones, which were pretty good.
It did, Donald Glover was in it.
And Woody Harrelson.
It's the weakest of the Disney efforts, by far.

Episode 9
Loved it
As with the others, doesn’t really make a load of sense if you stop and think about it. Very enjoyable though and wrapped up the main sequence of films very nicely.
