    Serie A Thread

Udinese have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Inter Milan over the transfer of goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
The highly-rated Slovenia international enjoyed a fine season for the Bianconeri last season, establishing himself as one of the division's most consistent 'keepers.
His performances helped Udinese to third place in Serie A and a spot in next season's Champions League qualifiers.
Italian giants Inter have been consistently linked with a summer swoop for the 27-year-old, though Udinese have previously publicly declared their determination to keep the player.
However, it has now emerged that the two clubs have come an agreement on a deal to take the former NK Domzale youngster to Giuseppe Meazza.
The deal will also see Inter full-back Davide Faraoni move in the other direction.
"There is a general agreement with Inter. Only the signing and the official news is missing," Udinese director Gino Pozzo told reporters.
A move for Handanovic would immediately bring into question the future of current Inter No.1 Julio Cesar.
When quizzed on the future of the Brazilian shot-stopper, Inter president Massimo Moratti remained coy, simply replying: "Let's see."

Berlusconi has apparently confirmed they've been sold.

    PSG.

What a squad they're shaping up to have, no Monty fairytale next year I'm afraid.

Milan and PSG will probably end up in the same CL group now.

    Hopefully it will go:

    Real Madrid
    Manchester City
    Juventus
    Paris Saint-Germain

That's what I am hoping. Real Madrid always make it through the group stages.

ANTONIO CASSANO has been fined £11,700 for his comments about gay players.

The Italy striker stunned reporters during a press conference at the European Championship when he said he hoped there were no homosexual players in the squad.

Cassano quickly apologised for his comments the following day.

He said: “"I sincerely regret that my statements have sparked controversy.

“Homophobia is a sentiment that is not mine. I did not want to offend anyone and I can not question the sexual freedom of other people.

“I only said that it is a problem that does not concern me and it is not for me to pass judgment on the choices of others.”

But UEFA fined the AC Milan player for “a discriminatory press statement”. Cassano can appeal the decision.

I'd have thought UEFA would have more important things to do
