Well it was only two years ago. Anyway, this award has never meant a huge amount for us (nor most clubs in England), Henry never won it, though he should have.

He certainly should have won it in 2003 and/or 2004 but of course us being shite in Europe didn't help. I also thought there was a strong case for him in 2006 but Cannavaro won it off the back of the World Cup alone.

2004 he definitely should've won the WPotY, if not the Ballon D'or as it was seperate then. Milan cocked up against Deportivo that season (in terms of Shevchenko) but did win Serie A I suppose. However, Ronaldinho's Barcelona didn't win a thing.
