The rumours are picking up steam that we want him. Some saying that we've already had a bid accepted.
I'd probably give up football he joined us.
Signing Barton might be the most positive thing to happen to the club for years. It would signal a complete rejection of Wenger's project and that might be sufficient to finally snap us back into the football world and out of the fantasy we've been enduring. Doesn't mean we'd have to play him, except maybe under special circumstances. Who could honestly say they wouldn't like to see Barton come on against Stoke? Can you imagine the media? Barton at Arsenal? LOL.

Barton has 2 years on him. Truth be told I wouldn't have either right now and don't really care. I don't think the club is 'changing direction' unless there is a change of manager. An economical signing like Barton or Parker will only paper over the cracks for the first couple of months of the new season.
Same here, but we won't be signing him either. I wonder if either would want to come here anyway.
