The defence budget is the only one thats ring fenced year on year, goes up not down whereas social services and education face cuts while the net population is rising unchecked.
They need something to convince you its necessary. Putin wants to rule the world. He`s coming for you, your Ford Focus and your Labrador.

This guy is describing a Facebook ad campaign

    The Guardian Clueless as ever.

And the bit about the private messages. Absolute bullshit. Even this front guy(?) won't swing for that.

People have been warning for years just how dumb it is to have anything to do with these social networks. The technology and data is routinely abused, it's designed to be abused. Everything this guy is describing is part and parcel of Facebook's marketing offering. You get a warning on the screen when you permit Facebook/ Twitter/ YouTube apps to access your account. They can see where you go, who you talk to, what you interact with. It's there as a clear warning when you install the app. But people are so keen for the next big nothing, like how to merge your cat photos with a friend's photo so they look like a cat (super important stuff like that), the warning is hurriedly clicked past. If you don't accept the data theft then you can't have your app for "free". That's the deal. You get a free thrill, they get your data and your permission to use it however they like.

So it's not as sexy as Russians, although there still may be a chance to work them into the plot. But it does prove this startup looking to justify its funding from a dumbarse investor stole the election for Trump and also staged the Brexit theft.

Oops. I may have given the game away early there. I'm not sure they are ready to drop the Brexit shoe on this one yet. Sorry, pretend I didn't say that.

Hopefully people are smart enough to see the real story here. The abusive power of the social networks. Hard to miss, given their huge and ongoing censorship campaign. And soon Facebook will be treating you all to its own news service, culled from 10 approved sources. Now if Cambridge Techwannabes managed to get hold of so much data, what's it going to be like when Facebook switches its attention from flogging data to every marketer under the sun (no questions asked) to serving you up its carefully profiled news?

Makes sense how we've 101 genders, doesn't it?

Here's something else from the Guardian from a year back.

You'd think they could make a connection maybe? Surely there's a brain cell among them?

Facebook showed advertisers how it has the capacity to identify when teenagers feel “insecure”, “worthless” and “need a confidence boost”, according to a leaked documents based on research quietly conducted by the social network.

The internal report produced by Facebook executives, and obtained by the Australian, states that the company can monitor posts and photos in real time to determine when young people feel “stressed”, “defeated”, “overwhelmed”, “anxious”, “nervous”, “stupid”, “silly”, “useless” and a “failure”.

The revelations come three years after the company faced significant backlash after it published the results of a vast experiment in which it manipulated information posted on 689,000 users’ home pages and discovered it could change people’s feelings through an “emotional contagion” process.
I think, in order to prevent the rabidly anti-libertarian, extreme left wing Facebook from helping Trump win elections (erm...), perhaps Facebook should be subject to the same privacy laws normal companies have to adhere to. Which would basically kill Facebook. Its entire business model is invasion of privacy.

It's highly likely this was an accident and the "assassination" is cover and misdirection, it could also have been an attempted theft. If it was an assassination attempt then arrest Johnny English, it fits his MO perfectly.

    Better dead than red.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

I used to be so naive. I thought NQ was a conspiracy nut but the last couple of years have been really eye opening. He was right about pretty much everything.

You been watching Homeland by any chance? A must watch and touches on so much of what's been discussed.
