    I get that argument too.

It would have been the will of democracy to leave (deal or no deal). And it is undemocratic not to have done so.

As the impasse is currently going against the will of the people, I guess what you are saying, is that the only way to move through that deadlock is to put it back to the people. But it needs to be based on something....because another leave remain vote may simply put us in the same position if the majority vote leave.

Another referendum would require choices. But the MPs can’t even decide on their own choices....

    Its fucking mental.

I am largely in favour of a new referendum because so much water has gone under the bridge since the first one and there are indications we’d get a different result now.
I don’t buy it’s the will of “the people”, it was a snapshot of opinion on a day, it was a close result and the polls before and since have swung around all over the place.

But I honestly don’t know what the options should be if there were a second referendum

    No deal or Remain?
    May’s deal or Remain?
May’s deal or No no deal?

There’s a case for all of those.
Some have suggested a 3 way vote but that would just split things further.

A shitload of books are going to be written about this...

If there was another ref, it would have to be leave/remain, plus a series of options on the card in the event of leave having the majority. It’s the only way it could work.

Then everybody has a say if the outcome is leave.

More indicative votes tonight, Labour whipping in favour of Norway+.

    I'd take it, tbh.

It would annoy the racists and thus can only be a good thing.
It’s also pretty much what I predicted would happen.
Not sure it will though, the freedom of movement thing is one of our deal breakers.

John Bercow announces which amendments he has selected for debate.

Motion C: Customs union - Proposer: Ken Clarke, Conservative
Motion D: 'Common Market 2.0' - Proposer: Nick Boles, Conservative
Motion E: Confirmatory public vote - Proposers: Peter Kyle and Phil Wilson, Labour
Motion G: Parliamentary supremacy - Proposer: Joanna Cherry, Scottish National Party
    Voting starts from 8PM.

Bercow will be keen to get this shit done quickly given he is a Gooner, or he will have a cheeky little screen set up at his desk.

If Parliament gives it and nothing else a majority and says to May, "right, we've made our will known, now go and do it", she might be forced to take it on as the only feasible way of 'delivering Brexit' (even if it is in name only).

Then again, that's assuming that May is a rational actor.

    Can't find out any idea.

If they're voting on them one by one it will be a long 'un.
