Grealish is very good, has been touted as the next greatest thing for a while, looks like he's the real deal in this case. Do we ever go for players like this though?
Depends if you’re talking about when they’re being touted / hyped, but are still unproven, or after they’ve had a breakthrough season at Prem level?
From what I can tell we never sign those who have had a breakthrough season in the PL, we have in the past signed hyped players however, generally the wrong ones who don't end up making it.

Tbh I haven’t got the energy left to keep hoping for things that probably won’t happen. If our thing is going to be rolling the dice on pre-breakthrough players and complete unknowns then that’s fine - I can still get behind it - but let’s at least make sure we’re investing in the best scouts, data analysts, and permanent / internal coaching staff to back it up, and aren’t just flinging shit at the wall and seeing what sticks...
