Did you watch him in his peak? I think maybe some of the newer fans didnt really see him deciding games during those 2 years so are just happy with any old tiki-taka he produced in his later years.

In fact he was a favourite of mine while he was at Inter where he supposedly flopped, loved watching him as a boy.

He said he wanted to finish his career at Arsenal and was surprised to be sold. I reckon he was an Arsenal man.

So he's at Man City, so what, he has to work somewhere and players don't always work for clubs they support or love.

also Vieiras comments about leadership were correct up until 2013. this year, we have the most points in england, we've produced some brilliant results when people didn't expect us too (dortmund, bayern, spurs, liverpool) to name four. we overcame 7 point gap to beat spurs when we were down and out.

this year we have leaders everywhere in our squad. Szcesney, BFG, Sagna, Flamini, Arteta, Vermaelen, Giroud, Ramsey, Wilshere.
