So icy, I nearly had an accident this morning.
Was approaching a roundabout and started to brake, but the car basically slid for about 10 metres before it stopped. Thank fuck no one was in front of me, would certainly have ploughed into the back of them but luckily the car that was in front had just driven off.

I remember being in the car one winter as a kid when my parents had a small prang. Similar to what you describe, the car just slid into a parked car and there was nothing they could do to stop it. Can't remember what happened next, I don't think there was much damage as it was all quite slow.
You'd think they'd have gritted the roads.
Snow pretty much gone here.

Snowing in essex today

This time last week it was a lovely 20 degrees and now snow. Global Warming

We were going to see MrsL’s family today but having seen the forecast hastily rearranged and went up yesterday. Was a lovely day, managed to behave ourselves and stay in the garden most of the time. Wouldn’t have been much fun today.
