    League One Zone

    For all League One discussion.

Newly promoted Stevenage will begin their first ever season in League One with a home fixture against Exeter.

Another of the promoted sides, Wycombe, host relegated Scunthorpe, who finished bottom of the Championship.

League Two champions Chesterfield and Bury, who finished behind them in second, start at Tranmere and last season's beaten play-off finalists Huddersfield respectively.

Relegated Sheffield United are at Oldham, and Preston host Colchester.

It is the first time the Blades, now managed by Danny Wilson, have played in the third tier of English football since they were promoted in 1988/89, while Phil Brown's North End are back at that level for the first time since 1996.

New Brentford manager Uwe Rosler begins his managerial career in England with a home game against Yeovil.

Bournemouth, who lost in the play-off semi-finals to Huddersfield, launch their campaign at Charlton, while the other beaten play-off side Milton Keynes Dons entertain Hartlepool.

Notts County face a long trip north to Cumbria to take on Carlisle, while Gary Megson's Sheffield Wednesday begin their second season in League One at Hillsborough against Rochdale.

The division's final game of the opening weekend sees Walsall, who avoided relegation on the final day of last season, host Leyton Orient.
